What Is It

The LAB is the training grounds to achieve your desired fitness goals. The LAB offers the best indoor cycle training as well as off-the-bike fitness training solutions in a controlled environment. What’s unique about the LAB is that we use REAL bikes that will give you an accurate feel to riding on the road. We are also known as a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike) training facility.

Each athlete will be riding and racing on a real bike, connected to a state-of-the-art cycling trainer that has computer controlled power resistance, all while viewing roads and routes on larger-than-life screens. The viewing will engage all athletes to feel like they are actually out riding on some of the most well-known routes in the world, while trainers automatically adjust pedal resistance according to rolling hills or epic mountain climbs.

We don’t stop there…The LAB offers full training programs for all levels of athletes both on and off the bike to help you reach your goals. You may be cycling one session and doing yoga or core strengthening on the next. All sessions are under the direction of quality instructors that will help motivate you to be your best.

Group training sessions or personal coaching in a like-minded community of people who want to be the best they can be.

Sure we would all like to be so perfectly disciplined that we set a goal and go do exactly what is needed to achieve it. But we are human beings that have good days and bad days, and that is exactly when we can use the help from others. The LAB offers the guidance and help needed by way of instructors and groups giving you that extra push and support to give your best effort on any given day. The LAB also has the support from expert coaches and personal trainers to help you achieve the individual goal you want to achieve.

Class Types

FTP Cycling Training Session

A structured training session based on your FTP (Functional Threshold Power). FTP sessions are designed for you to train within the prescribed power areas which will promote better endurance and strength over time.

Head to Head Cycling Training Session

A training session is a pre­determined route and profile that you will see the course profile along with all other riders in the session and where each rider is at. Riders will engage as you push yourself to stay with the rider in front of you or stay ahead of the rider behind you.

Video Course Training Simulation

Riders will be engaged in a training session that puts you right in the middle of the action watching the pro peloton race and attack as you are prompted to follow the moves on the video playback.

Functional Core & Strength Training Session

Strength training using resistance, stability and light weights that will help engage muscle areas that tend to be ignored during regular activity. This will include a variety of exercises using resistance bands, TRX type training straps, Kettlebells, medicine balls and stability balls.

Yoga Sessions

We offer a variety of different types of yoga classes from Power to stretch to Buti.

FAQ

Do I need to bring a towel?

No, The LAB provides you with a fresh clean towel for each training session.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

No

The LAB is designed as a BYOB (Bring your own bike), but we also have a small selection of LAB bikes if you do not own your own bike. You do need to call and reserve to make sure one is available for your session

We also offer bike storage for a small fee. This is a nice addition for those that want to show up, train and leave the bike set up to us.

If I use a LAB bike will I need special shoes?

The LAB bikes have standard pedals so you can use any gym shoe.

Are there any age limits?

Are there any age limits?

No. The LAB has a great youth program as well as structured training for everyone.

Can I do my own training plan at The LAB?

Yes, you can drop into any class that you desire including using the core strength fitness area when it is available.

How do I know if I am improving and getting stronger?

We offer structured training programs with fitness tests done periodically to evaluate each person’s progress.

Are all sessions done in a group setting?

We offer group training as well as small group and personal coached sessions.

Do I need to be a member?

Our membership pricing is the best pricing available but we do offer single sessions and group packages.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are recommended to ensure your spot in any of our LAB sessions.

Do I need to be an experienced cyclist to use The LAB?

No. The LAB is for everyone. We believe in helping each person achieve their fitness / athletic goals. We can help with general fitness as well as cycling.
